Professor of Gdynia Maritime University, Poland, Offered a Series of Lectures for Graduate Students in Logistics Engineering College

From May 23 to June 3, 2016, Prof. Tomasz Tarasiuk from Gdynia Maritime University visited Logistics Engineering College. Prof. Tomasz Tarasiuk gave a lecture named "The Research on Problems of Power Quality in Measurement, Instrumentation and Practical System", which was attended by postgraduates, doctoral students and some teachers from our college majored in power electron, electrical drive and electrical engineering. Prof. Tomasz Tarasiuk gave a comprehensive introduction to the technology of power quality measurement, instrumentation and measurement system which were world-leading and highlighted the advanced technology and latest research achievements of Gdynia Maritime University in ship power quality inspection. Postgraduates and doctoral students in the lectures participated actively, thought independently and talked about their questions with Prof. Tomasz Tarasiuk. All of them benefited greatly from the discussions.

Prof. Tomasz Tarasiuk is professor and assistant dean of Ship Electrical Engineering Department of Shipboard Electrical Engineering Institute, Gdynia Maritime University, Poland, and the leader of ship electric power measurement. He is the Secretary-General of the Association of Measurement, Automation and Robotics, Poland currently, and head of the EU's sixth and seventh framework programs. He is a well-known expert of ship power quality testing in Europe and mainly makes research on ship power quality parameter testing and evaluation.
