Professor Christophe Claramunt, Director of The French Naval Academy Research Institute (IRENav) Visited Logistics Engineering College

From April 6 to April 13, Professor Christophe Claramunt, Director of the French Naval Academy Research Institute visited the Logistics Engineering College. Professor Christophe Claramunt is the Deputy Director of the SIG Commission of the EU Natural Sciences Commission, first grade professor of French. He mainly makes research on marine safety, information processing and visualization technology.

During the visit, Prof. Christophe Claramunt delivered a lecture entitled "Maritime Information Systems for Better Decisions at Sea". Many undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students of our university took part in the lecture actively. Prof. Tang Tianhao and Professor Wu Huafeng, Professor Hu Qinyou and Associate Professor Wang Tianzhen attended the lecture and exchanged their opinions then. Professor Christophe Claramunt introduced some of the results of their research group on shipping information and the techniques and methods they adopted. The students participated actively, thought independently and asked questions about their confusion.

In addition, Professor Christophe Claramunt communicated with the teachers and students of our university on research of shipping information processing. He also visited the smart car laboratory, the ocean current generation laboratory, ship power station laboratory, and communicated with the students in the laboratory to guide students on the smart car paper writing.
