Class 112 of Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Control (sino-dutch)

 We are the members of the big family which named Logistics Engineering College in Shanghai Maritime University. We are in major of Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Control (sino-dutch). Following our school motto “To be a student with the pioneering, enterprising, practicing and innovation spirit”,  we absorb the cream of the knowledge and achieve the brilliance of the youth, grow up and improve ourselves together with the destination of moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic all-round development on this graceful campus. Days and months flash by as quickly as a weave’s shuttle, just like in a while, the immatureness of the freshmen doesn’t belong to us anymore. As the sophomores, to improve and reflect on ourselves, we often look back at the past year and taste our own gain and loss, success and failure. We, the members of Electrical Engineering (sino-dutch) 112, are bold in making innovations, good at summarize and dare to rethink our mistakes.
There are 31 students in the class of Electrical Engineering (sino-dutch) including 11 girls and 20 boys. We come from different provinces such as Beijing, Shanghai, Anhui, Shandong and so on. In our daily life, we live together and study together. Trying to take care of each other makes us look like the family. All the time , we strive hard to create and keep the harmonious atmosphere.
In the past year, we made our thought keeping the pace of the age all along and tried our best to approach to the party organization ideologically. The submitting-rate of party application nearly reached a hundred percent.
The students in our class actively and gratis engaged in blood donating when we were freshmen. There were 12 students in total taking part in the activity and the number reached forty percent of the total student numbers.
The academic record of our class is always, comparatively, better than the other class of the same major. We kept the attitude of ‘studying is the most important’ all through and learned from other’s strong points to close the gap. We fully used the abundant educational resources and prevented ourselves from laziness and slackness, finally, we successfully conquered the difficulties in the study, gaining great achievements.
In the last semester, The passing-rate of CET-4 nearly reached ninety-five percent, among, two students’ grades exceeded six hundred.
One of students honorably gained national scholarship. In the field of major scholarship, one of students in our class gained special award, three won first prize, two won second prize and six won third prize. The number of students who won major scholarship occupied nearly sixty-three percent of the total numbers in the whole major.
In the past year, we worked for our class methodically. There are a lot of activities we participated in, for example, the environmental protection month in Shengang, the volunteer for Public Security Museum, the integrity activity in the campus and so on. We gained the experiences and happiness from these activities. At the same time, cadres in the class always planed and organized some activities by their own. For instance, we dined together to mobilize review about final exam or celebrate the New Year’s Day. What’s more, the psychological commissioner wrote a psychological play for us and leaded us to take part in the competition in the school.
In the past year, our effort received affirmation, honorably, our class was appraised as “Excellent Class of SMU of the year” for the 2011-2012. We were all proud of being one of members of class 112 of Electrical Engineering (sino-dutch). We have great confidence and strength to build our class more outstanding, more harmonious and more glorious, leaving no regrets about being a member of class112. At the same time, we will still try our best to make our class coming to the forefront with great effort and hopefully becoming the model of modern-day-university class.
