Huang Youfang

Huang Youfang, male, Han People, born in June, 1959, is entitled with the Doctor of Engineering, professor, doctoral supervisor and incumbent president of Shanghai Maritime University. In 1989, Mr. Huang came to Shanghai Maritime Academy to teach. From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Huang was successively appointed as deputy director of the department, deputy director of personnel department and assistant to the president of Shanghai Maritime Academy. In 1999, Mr. Huang was appointed as vice president of Shanghai Maritime Academy and vice president of Shanghai Maritime University in 2004. In December, 2011, Mr. Huang was appointed as president of Shanghai Maritime University and at the same time, President Huang enjoys many titles, such as Chairman of Education Committee of Logistics Majoring of Institution of Higher Learning of Ministry of Education, Director of Technology Engineering Center of Container Supply Chain of Ministry of Education, Discipline(including Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Aeronautical and Astronautical Science and Technology) Council Convener of the 4^th Disciplinary Council of Shanghai Degree Committee, Director of Research Center of Shanghai Shipping Logistics Information Engineering Technology, Vice President of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Vice President of China Society of Logistics, Special International Consultant of International Trade Center, Executive Director of China Association of Ports, etc. Besides the titles mentioned above, President Huang also has a great many honors. In 1996, Mr. Huang was awarded the 2^nd Prize of Shanghai Excellent Inventions. In 2003, Mr. Huang was awarded the 1^st Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress. In 2004, Mr. Huang was awarded the 2^nd Prize of National Science and Technology Progress and the 1^st Prize of National Staffs Technological Innovation. And in the same year, Mr. Huang has been starting to enjoy the special allowances of the State Council Government. In 2005, Mr. Huang was awarded the 1^st Aurora Award of Shanghai Education Fund. In 2006, Mr. Huang was awarded the 1^st Prize of Science and Technology Progress of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Honorary Title of the 1^stChinese Logistics Experts with Outstanding Contributions. In 2008, Mr. Huang was awarded the Shanghai Outstanding Discipline Leader and the title of Outstanding Contributor of China’s Logistics during the 30 Years of Opening-up and Reform. In 2009, Mr. Huang was awarded the 1^st Prize of P.G. Logistics Contributions by China Guanghua Foundation and China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. In 2010, Mr. Huang was elected one of China Top 10 Logistics Figures of the year 2009 by the magazine Logistics Times. President Huang has published 100 plus papers in the national or overseas journals, periodicals or academic conferences and 10 plus works and patents. President Huang was invited to deliver nearly 60 special reports in the national or international conferences. And also, President Huang is responsible for nearly 70 national, provincial or entrusted scientific research projects.
