Major of Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation in SMU Awarded as the Excellent Major in Shanghai

The relevant notice issued by Shanghai Education Committee showed that the major of mechanical design manufacturing and automation in SMU had passed the assessment and won the honor of the excellent major.

The assessment is a professional evaluation and was carried out by Shanghai Education Committee. The result will be published soon and the period of validity will last 5 years. Shanghai Education Committee is going to establish the quantitative index to assess the major qualities of the universities.

The assessment experienced complicated procedures, including declaration, self-assessment, assessment by panel, field test and final judgement by the experts. It is noteworthy that there are only 4 majors of 4 universities passing the assessment.
