I. Educational Objectives
The major is aimed at producing interdisciplinary engineering talents and technical personnel who are well informed of the foundational knowledge of Modern Mechanical and Electrical Products, System Design, Manufacturing and Control; be competent in the designing, manufacturing, technological development, application in the field of electromechanical control, mechanical automation. Students are supposed to be qualified to undertake technical work in enterprises overseas or foreign-funded enterprises at home with good English communication skills.
II. Education Requirements
Students of this major are acquainted with the basic theory of Mechanical Engineering, and basic knowledge of electronic technique and computer technology, got trained under the senior electrical engineers of modern times and equipped with the primary abilities and skills in designing, manufacturing, controlling and managing mechanical and electrical product and its system.
Upon graduation, students are expected
1. to have a good grasp of the basic technological theory this major requires including: Mechanics, Mechanics, Electric Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Technology, and Control Theory;
2. to master the basic techniques of mechanical drawing, calculating, testing, field study, document-retrieving, and fundamental process manipulation as well as computer technology application;
3. to be able to apply electromechanical integration technology to design, control and manage mechanical & electrical products and its system, keep pace with the forefront information as well as the new trends of the discipline;
4. to be proficient in English, fluent in English conversation with foreign technical personnel;
5. to have strong abilities of autonomous learning, analytical skills, as well as innovative consciousness;
6. to have a fair understanding of humanities and social sciences.
