Associate Dean of Logistics Engineering College had a Formal Discussion with the Professor of Petroleum Institute of Abu Dhabi, UAE(United Arab Emirates)

At 9:00 on June 30, 2016, Prof. Xu, assistant dean of Logistics Engineering College, held a meeting with SM Muyeen, Associate Professor and Laboratory Director of Electrical Engineering Department of Abu Dhabi Petroleum Institute, UAE, in Room 508, Logistics Building. Professors, teachers of Electrical Engineering and foreign affairs secretary of college also attended the seminar.

Prof. Xu welcomed the arrival of Prof. SM Muyeen and introduced the basic situation of the College. Prof. SM Muyeen also gave a detailed introduction of the comprehensive laboratory of electrical engineering then. Muyeen was responsible for an investment of 800 million dollars in the comprehensive laboratory of electrical engineering including the smart grid, new energy electric vehicles, power systems, and other high-level experimental platforms covering the current mainstream of electrical engineering research. After the seminar, they also made a detailed discussion of the cooperation in the future such as short-term exchange of graduate students, joint publication of high-level academic papers, construction of joint labs in our university, and so on.

Abu Dhabi Petroleum Institute (PI) is a public university, established in 2001. It is a well-known oil university in the United Arab Emirates which has a strong influence in Middle East with school funding from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC ). Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the United States Exxon Mobil oil companies and other oil companies all established the technology research and development center in Abu Dhabi Petroleum Institute.
